The friends' association supports the expansion and the maintenance of the museum both financially and ideationally. Not only do the friends of the DDM maintain and restore steam locomotives, but they also voluntarily help to keep the museum running.

In other words: selflessly supporting a public institution.
Facilities like lavatory, shower, changing room and restroom are available to our helpers.

What can you do?

You can support us as a passive member with your financial contribution or help with the museum's various tasks as an active member. (membership fees and donations are tax-deductible)

quarterly, you will receive the magazine "Schiene Aktuell" with news about the assocation and information by the friends' association of the DDM, the DFS (Steam railway Franconian Switzerland), the MEC 01 Münchberg, MuEC Selb/Rehau, Pro Bahn Fahrgastverband, MEC Hof e.V., Nürnberger Eisenbahnfreunde, Eisenbahnfreunde Sulztalbahd and the Eisenbahnfreunde Steinachtalbahn-Coburg e.V.
