Hold your event or your celebration at an extraordinary venue! The Steam Locomotive Museum offers a very special atmosphere which your guests will remember for a long time.
Depending on your personal wishes, the event area of the 15 stall roundhouse can be furnished with up to 300 seats. The newly designed center for museum education provides space for up to 35 persons.
We gladly provide our premises to you for your event. For usage until 10 PM and shunting of the exhibits before and after your event, we charge a rental of:

If your event goes past 9 PM, you can stay until 2 AM - with a control supervisor present who locks the area after the event - and comfortably let the evening come to an end. After 10 PM, we charge an additiona 20 percent per hour per person (locking service)
For providing the tables/chairs and setup and removal, we charge the following fee:
Per round banquet table | 30.00 € gr. |
Per beer table | 12,00 € gr. |
Per upholstered banquet chair | 3,00 € gr. |
You will find the right table linen and covers in our inventory.
The rooms will be available for you to set up on the day before the event from 12 PM to 5 PM and on the day after the event from 10 AM to 3 PM.
The choice is yours: typical Franconian snacks, a classic buffet or maybe even a "flying buffet"? Bring your own caterer and adjust your food to the style of your wedding.
We merely charge 50.00 € gr. as an energy flat rate for providing electricity and water to your caterer.
An on-site meeting with you and your caterer before the event is recommended as our roundhouse is not a standard location!
As a strong regional partner for your wedding celebration, we recommend Matthias Hartl of Turnau castle. Mr. Hartl and his team have often done catering for festivities inside the railway roundhouse and are very familiar with the facilities.

To make sure that all the details, like napkins, flowers, place cards etc. are perfect on your special day, simply decorate the tables, the buffet etc. yourselves. The museum posesses a small collection of lanterns, decorative items and candleholders, which can be borrowed for a fee upon request.
The rooms will be available for you to set up on the day before the event from 12 PM to 5 PM and on the day after the event from 10 AM to 3 PM.
The DDM Museums- und Bahnbetriebs GmbH is responsible for the supply of beverages and the respective personnel at the museum. The drinks menu includes alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by a regional brewery.
Do not hesitate to request our list of beverages!
Please bring wine, sparkling wine and hard liquor yourselves. Our personnel will serve the drinks in glasses. For that, we charge 6.00 € of corkage per opened bottle.
After a high-spirited party, our premises have to be prepared for regular museum operations.

At the event area of the roundhouse, the standard lighting provides good basic illumination. Especially in the evening, additional ambient lighting creates a moody atmosphere inside the roundhouse.
